Found the problem. It was apparmor. If apparmor is enabled on Ubuntu
clamd has issues. Once I disabled apparmor everything worked. Thanks for

I think /var/qmail/simscan directory should be setgid.
Clamav creates files with 600 permissions, so group members can't access them.
This is from my server:

I've also noticed that everything is working in that mail is going in
and out and getting scanned. I checked the log files and the issue began
