I'm pleased to announce vdrtvib - VDR TV In a Box - a Gnome panel applet that shows a TV picture in a tiny box. Get it from http://www.hare.demon.co.uk/vdrtvib.html It has a few performance issues for which I'd welcome suggested fixes, but otherwise seems fairly stable. Have fun with it.

I was about to test the performance of vdr when I stumbled on this message ERROR: /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0: Too many open files I do not recall seeing this earlier. This came when fourth simultaneous recording started. Is this a vdr, dvb, or firmware issue? Seems like dvb but I really do
