Hi Amy,
Great idea. Great adventure...
I'm subscribed, now.
Gena has great advice. I would also say to always remember the
networks online, where you can ask questions and shoot the breeze and
connect with some of your viewers. As well as asking questions here
and joining facebook,
After all that YouTube chatter last week, any of you going to make it

Looks like we'll be seeing a lot of each other. :)
You might want to look into the Verizon broadband pc card.
(it's the fastest, capable of streaming video live)
For finding free wi-fi the best place I found is

For mounting camera's on dashboards, I guess I would suggest using a
little tiny tripod that is attached to a beadbag. The nice thing
about a bean bag is that it conforms to what it sits on, and IF you
replace the beans (or whatever) with steel shot, then it will be heavy
enough to actually stay
I'm going to try to make it, if only to thank this guy for his NYC Welcome

Woah. Great information with an awesome finish. Thanks for the find,
Adam.
I'll be wandering around Washington Square Park for a few. Shoot me

It's like the iSight was built for you, Schlomo. Very few people
could make films as entertaining as that with their MBPs. I bet no

When I had my Powerbook G4, now Lea's pride and joy, I used a Logitech
Communicate STX. The cam is about $49 US. I used a couple plugins to
get it working like a champ in ichat and skype. When I get home, I'll
fire off an email to you with what it needs to get up and working.
David
please fire it off to me as well...

Hey Amy, don't know if this is any use but a Gorillapod
(http://www.joby.com/) is pretty useful for attaching your camera
to... well, other things. Good luck, your project sounds really cool.

Ok. First you need a USB camera. Best to check maccam for devices that
are reported to have worked. You can check for that here...

Now that you found a cam that works, download and install the most
recent version of Maccam...
Hey all
Lately my small life has become consumed with making videos on the
Facebook. I'm not sure why.. you dont get stats, you cant see who has been
watching them, and you don't get an RSS feed. In fact, all you can do is
record into the web browser and tag it with your friends names if they
Yes, it is so easy and quick. The weekend I bought my MacBook Pro
(with built in iSight) I started playing with video on facebook
(http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=510268286366 - prolly
can't see unless you're my friend on facebook, feel free to add me).
A friend of mine bought
ichatusbcam!
i didn't know such a thing existed. that makes sense.
i have a webcam which kinda works, but not at all on iChat.
so maybe i'll give that a whirl.
thank you :)
