Thanks for the compliments Brook :) You are no slouch in this. You are
creating wonderful videos yourself! It appears that the
NaVloPoMo'vians are all breaking out of those molds and experimenting
with new things.
Here is something that I find troublesome...
There are so many fantastic videos
Even though most of the shows on their front page could be labeled internet
tv, that doesn't make them any less independent than your personal vlog, or
Rupert's, or Schlomo's, or mine. I have Bullemhead.com to show my friends
(like you) things from my life, things that catch my eye or ear. I
Well for me that would boil down to 2 issues.
One is what exactly constitutes being a writer. If you just make your show up
as you go
along, theres no writing involved I guess. Are rough show notes considered
writing, or
only fullly scripted dialogue etc?
The other is whether unions make any
You are correct. I will email Blip and see if they would promote NaVloPoMo. I
dont know if
anyone has actually emailed Blip about this? Your advice is well taken.
Personally I dont see WS as a show. It's not...hmm...glossy. It's not
produced. It's not
trying to mimic television. I guess it
Im not so sure the net is going to be much different from distribution methods
of the
past, when it comes to promotion. Most of the time, nobody in the promotion
business
has a clue how to promote strange, different, risque things that push the
envelope. Its so
much easier to promote stuff
Some people probably thought the net would change the sorts of things that go
mainstream, that it was just rubbish being force-fed to people, and when given
more
choice they would choose different, en mass.
Some thought that 'personal' was where the promised land lay.
Others antsed to stick
To clarify my google point at the end, here is my half-baked thoughprocess on
this one:
One of the things that made vlogging emerge was RSS, which opened the doors not
only
fo rthe podcast-type viewwer subscription thing, but also for sites and
services to work
with eachother without

Thanks for this, Rupert.
Though I still cant get a couple recent posts to download in iTunes, I
erased the rel=enclosures from my latest post and it worked perfectly!
Not sure what to do about the Lost Episodes Of Schlomo for my iTunes
viewers, but I'm moving on to your new workflow.
Thanks!!
This is brilliant, Richard.

Hey Steve,
Great questions.
I am operating in a niche market: Dog Frisbee and Positive Dog Training.
2007's not been as fantastic as I thought it would be either, but
it's not all bad. 60,000 views on blip. Another 5,000 on You tube (11
videos), 33,000 on YT if you add the dude who swiped
I just spent the entire evening last night hooking up with likeminded
people on facebook - what a great app!
I think this is where we've been faltering as far as promotion goes.
We need more push and I'm taking that on now.
I'd love to hear more about leveraging the social networking
Hey guys,
Thought I'd chime in here. A couple things:
* You're going to have the best experience using blip to get to iTunes
if you use your blip iTunes feed to do it. Your blip iTunes feed is
http://yourname.blip.tv/rss/itunes/
* If you use FeedBurner in this fashion it'll still work, but
What?
In everything you wrote, you asked me one question. I removed what wasnt

You asked me if that was all I was going to say about what you wrote and I said
no.

Hi all,
A large number of the AVI files that my camera creates are corrupted. Some
will not open at all while others open but have flickering and static. I don't
know how it happened; it could be that they were damaged when I copied them
onto my hard drive but that really doesn't matter at

saw that
there was a need to fill.

Schlomo,
I checked it out. Assuming you've corrected your rel=enclosures,
you then need to drop Feedburner a line, and ask them to reset your
enclosures. Then all will be fine again.
Resyncing isn't enough. Once the enclosures have been made and
associated with each post ID, they don't
