Yes, he certainly has my sympathies. On a more subtle level, I remember Chris Wilson saying in an interview that it took him six or seven years to stop playing the lute like a guitar. I would say it took me as long as well, and now I play guitar like a lute! How could Pujol be expected to have a

Thanks for details on the recording, which I'll order in a few weeks when I get paid. So, he had the instrument shortened? Smart man! Still, he should have had a better technique. Anyone who is arrogant enough to put out a techniqe book (in four volumes!) should be able to walk it like he talks
