Backup file (with ~ ) on rsync server

I notice that (a few seconds ago) the file runtime/tutor/tutor.gr.utf8 on the rsync server is accompanied by a tutor.gr.utf8~ -- I suppose the latter can be removed? Best regards, Tony.
