Greetings, all. A while ago I made a cool project - a digital picture frame - from an old laptop. Currently any time the power goes out I have to grab an ADB keyboard out of the closet, plug it in, and hit the power button. I would rather just make a special little box with a power button

Can you separate the circuit board traces and just cut away the power button section of the circuit board? I think that would be the easiest way, if possible. If not, and especially if it interacts with anything other than firmware, I would estimate you have a LOT of work ahead of you.
