with the obligatory pair of serial ports you'd be better off using an external modem if you ever need one and sticking a Comm Slot ethernet card in it. I have one in my 6300CD and it seems to be an OK device, no slower than built in AFAI can tell. -- -- Mark Benson Any spelling errors are attributed

Woops - woh slipped there. Erm, the 8150 is not really on topic for this list. Don't know if I should push this thread off-list - it's a bit OT (considering it's a PowerMac WGS) but not really intruding overly. -- -- Mark Benson Any spelling errors are attributed to PEBKAC Vintage Macs

Yes, come to think of it, you'd probably be best moving over to the 1st PowerMacs list for 8150 info and/or the MaX List for info on UNIX distros for your 8150. -- -- Mark Benson Any spelling errors are attributed to PEBKAC Vintage Macs List Nanny SilValleyPirate - AIM

ClarisWorks 2.0 was the last version to run under System 6? I dunno. I know 1.0 does. Personally I use MS Word 5.1 on all my 68ks (not the ones running System 6 - I use MacWrite on them) so I haven't a scooby. -- -- Mark Benson Any spelling errors are attributed to PEBKAC Vintage Macs List

adapter or the complete PDS-ethernet card is pure luck. I'd say that was about right. The PDS-NuBus adapter is likely slightly harder to find if anything. The Nubus ethernetcards are not really a problem. Nope - there are thousands -- -- Mark Benson Any spelling errors are attributed
