phone in my left hand. However, then I found that if I put the phone
in my lap or on a table and use both index fingers, I was able to type

Yes, fleksy will automatically switch to landscape mode as long as you do
not have your portrait mode locked.

The fastest way is whatever works for you.
I like keeping it in portrait mode and using one index finger.
Some people use it landscaped and use two index fingers, or two thumbs, or
even three or four fingers.
The best thing to do is just play around with it until you find what is most
efficient
I have Fleksy locked in landscape mode, I rest the phone on my fingers and
type with my thumbs. I had to turn off the raise to speak feature, otherwise my
thumb would activate the sound.

I updated earlier this morning but haven't gotten a chance to check
out the update. I would be interested in hearing from any low vision
people that use Fleksy, and if the new colors/themes/skins help you
see the screen better.

Fleksy released a new version 1.8 today. I've not installed it yet but i
know many on this list use Fleksy. Some of the changes include:
1. Integrating favorites with contacts.
2. Accuracy and speed improvements.
3. A couple of appearance themes to change the look. These used to be called
skins
couldn't care less how it looks as long as it
works.
