I know the treaty for the blind is a bit off topic, but it is a legal
mechanism that has the potential to change our lives as much or more than
the accessibility of the iPhone.
Below I repost a recent press statement from the World Blind Union. My
understanding from people

I have my aiids connected to my phone at all times when I am wearing them. You
can turn off the aids if you wish somebody else to hear the phone I do this
when talking with my kids on speaker phone so my wife can hear.

I am reading the messages on a Mac and have no problems seeing messages I send
to other groups other than Google.

. I do have the aids connected to the phone via bluetooth. It
was my understanding that aids connected on a different frequency to normal
bluetooth. Could others try and replicate this and let us know there findings
before I contact Disability support.

I have the same problem also. Shazam won’t work either. I think it is having
my hearing aids connected to the phone at the same time.

I have created an iPhone game for a blind friend. The whole idea was to
make a game to make players with and without vision equal. Not a just a
game that can be played by visually impaired people too.
The game is a memory game based on vibration patterns. It fully supports
VoiceOver.
