The only thing I can think of is that something else is touching the screen,
like your face or another finger, so a single touch is being interpreted as a
split tap. If the focus is on the end call button then this will terminate the
call. I'm not sure if this is what's happening or not. It's just speculation on
my part.

This subject was discussed here a couple months ago, and after a few tries, I
may have found the answer in the archives, although I wouldn't bet next week's
check on it. The problem has never occured on my cheap phone, only on the last
couple pro models. Go into voiceover settings, rotor, and find direct touch.
Then, go into the apps that this direct touch affects, and deselect phone. I
did this to see if it would stop the two-finger double tap from ending a call,
and it did not. I hope it won't stop it from answering a call. Let me know
if this works.

First, however, if there is a case, remove it and then make some trial calls.

Re: calls getting cut off.

2024-04-11 Thread Arnold Schmidt
This subject was discussed here a couple months ago, and after a few tries, I
may have found the answer in the archives, although I wouldn't bet next week's
check on it. The problem has never occured on my cheap phone, only on the last
couple pro models. Go into voiceover settings, rotor, and find direct touch.
Then, go into the apps that this direct touch affects, and deselect phone. I
did this to see if it would stop the two-finger double tap from ending a call,
and it did not. I hope it won't stop it from answering a call. Let me know
if this works.

Hello Carolyn,

My best guess is that there is something touching the phone. You may want to
remove your phone's case and see what happens. Another issue is that there
could be a problem with the screen protector currently installed on the
display, if any.

First, however, if there is a case, remove it and then make some trial calls.

Good luck,

Mark

Anyone have any idea when I'm on a call, that simply touching the screen
anywhere can cut off a call - no pressing, not near end call, just simply
contact with screen?

RE: calls getting cut off.

2024-04-11 Thread Christopher Chaltain
The only thing I can think of is that something else is touching the screen,
like your face or another finger, so a single touch is being interpreted as a
split tap. If the focus is on the end call button then this will terminate the
call. I'm not sure if this is what's happening or not. It's just speculation on
my part.
