Hello,
I thought I overcame the problem of 8-bit

to it from a 24-bit desktop. I might have been

I am talking with Andy Harter about VNC bug 19:
DESCRIPTION
If there is a VNC connection active, then some VB ActiveX components may

Find the Use_Deferral registry key in the VNCHooks Advanced Settings for

1. I have a SuSE linux 8.1 machine where I'm able to login with xdm.
I'm using a cygwin /XFree86 X11 client.
To get a Belgium keyboard I activated a Belgium Xmodmap file. (In
/etc/Xmodmap an /Home/user/.Xmodmap) When starting the client I can enter
the user and password correctly. Once connected
I've been doing some testing for the guys working on UltraVNC, and just
yesterday my testing focused on Publishing a Window (Window Title
sharing). Since the code for this feature is shared amongst most of the
VNC flavours (I may be worong), I'm sure I came across most of what you
are noticing.
Set not only the current user settings but the system (default) settings
too.
Start - realvnc - server - show default settings.
Look at the title bar to know which one you are setting.

I have been using the eSVNC feature that allows you to view a single
window instead of the complete desktop. The problem is that if you
resize the window or minimize the window, you wind up seeing a portion
of the desktop. Will/does UltraVNC handle the single window display in
a better way?

If VNC has this side-effect, VNC developers have to fix it.
Do you think all the software houses using VNC have to check all

William,
I used that harsh tone writing to Andy Harter because I think he replied
to my Emails with little regard to my questions.
I am a developer too, and I don't want to insult Andy. If he feels
insulted, I ask Andy to excuse me. I hope this clarify the thread.

Is this possible? If so, how?
