Hi there,
We have a problem here with the feature scale by that is marked
experimental. With Windows NT there was no problem at all, but now we
migrated to Windows XP and the machine runs into a bluescreen whenever
one chooses a scale like 4/5 or 9/10. Can anyone help us with that?
Thanks,
Does anyone know of a way to resize the viewable desktop within the JAVA
based VNC viewer so that it's possible to place 4 windows upon the same
HTML page. From what I understand the VNCcanvas is what controls the size
of the VNC desktop, so does anyone know of a way of changing this. Thanks
Hello Everyone,
I am having a curious problem with VNC. Just to give some background, I
originally had VNC 3.3.3 (I think) installed on this computer and on others
on my LAN. I then migrated everything over to TightVNC 1.2.5 and have since
upgraded to TightVNC 1.2.8. But I finally decided to

I'm trying to use vnc to control remotely my home computer from my office.
Till now, I did not manage to get a proper vnc connection across the internet.
I think I have a simple firewall problem, but I have no idea how to solve it

What I would like is the possibility of chatting between client and

Hi.
My problem seems simple. I've got two computers connected directly

I'd like to access services in the WIN98 computer from the WinXP

You are asking a question that has no answer.
It depends on:
OS (client and server)
Connection reliability
What applications you are trying to use
What level of interaction you are wanting
The hardware your client and server are running
etc., etc., etc.
Both products are free. Try them and use
There are thousands ways to chat between 2 computers. Even windows has
the standard netmeeting. There are many web sites where you can chat
from the browser (fancy java or plain html).
By the way what company policy forbids netmeeting but allows vnc ?!
P.S. About bloat: there is a need for a chat
I think Most people here understand the limitations of this encryption,
but I think a great many of us are just looking to not have passwords

If we are talking Windows and they are on the same network you can always
use net send. Not the nicest interface, but it is on every Windows PC and
enabled by default.

I'm new to VNC and having some difficulties connecting - basically I can
initiate the connection from any client PC - Win2k to an NT 4 server running
the latest version of VNC. It asks for a password, which I enter, and accepts
it (no authentication failed message) and disappears off my screen,
Hi All,
Thank you very much for the quick responses.
Jordan,
I am unable to access the link you sent. It seems that hubbe.net is down.
Almost all the websites that offered to dl win2VNC seem to point to
hubbe.net. Would someone have a local copy of Win2VNC that they could email
me ??
Thanks,
We will typically open a notepad window to type our messages. Again, not a
nice interface, plus you MUST take turns 'talking', but it does get the job
done!

If you still can't get to it, let me know, and I'll send you a URL to my

Note: In playing around with it, I've found that it doesn't work very well
in conjunction with the Multi Monitor stuff that win2k uses.
Have you tried send on Windows XP Pro? It's not on my PC.
