I've been searching through the list in hope to find something about
keyboardlayouts that might solve my problem, but with no luck.
You see I've installed the VNC server on a W2K computer, and I am
currently running the viewer on another W2K computer (a Toshiba laptop

Is there a method to remotely push VNC 4.0b4 to a bunch of machines? Fastpush
doesn't seem to do it - presumably the registry settings are different for
VNC4.

I've just come across RealVNC for the first time and, having read the

For the D-Link look under the advanced settings and check out the virtual
server area. I would use static ips for the internal machines. I could not
find the RT-314 on the netgear site.
For the ports it depends on the what you wish to connect. The 59xx range

I may be wrong on this, but check the common directory under the fastpush directory.

I have just installed VNC and have never used it before. It works just
fine when my server is not locked, but when it is locked, I cannot
unlock it. I am running VNC as a service on the server. I am trying to
connect to a W2K server from an XP desktop. Any suggestions?
Hello,
I've recently written an eMail describing my problem with a little less
experience. At first I got the impression of missing the right command (in order
to start a remote login-process at the solaris-pc via vnc). In the meantime I
got help from someone cruising around the forum. Much
Andreas,
The answer you need is here:

To use CDE login Xvnc must be started as an Xserver under the dt daemons.

Actually, without a keyboard, PC's BIOS wouldn't even allow to
boot. And then when windows (you're talking about Microsoft Windows,
aren't you?) is loading, it will check for mouse. If there's no mouse
at this stage, you won't have mouse

Depends on the BIOS. Any modern BIOS should allow you the option to boot
without a keyboard.

I can run VNC fine across the local network, but I can't get in from the

I'm using a MSN DSL modem and a Linksys router.
When I attempt to get in from outside, I get the information from the modem.

Are you having a specific issue configuring AuthHosts? Doing a
search for AuthHosts
for keyb and mouse there is some very simple thing...
plug in a USB to psb converter ($20) and you're done
since i've never seen any USB to VGA, nothing here...
