Hi,
the viewed terminals have some times a higher resolution than my laptop
has, this leads to quite a lot of scroling is it possilbe to size/scale
the viewed terminal in a vncviewer window?
When I press F8 for full screen mode - how do I undo this?
Thanks a lot
Michael
Create a shortcut to the dial-up connection, and put it in the windows start menu. If
its windows 2000 you can set it to auto connect,
and auto re-dial on dropped connection. This way when windows starts up, it will run
the shortcut and auto connect with out a user
having to press anything.

I got a DSL Alcatel 510 router. I can get access to any computer via

Using VNC viewer on a W2K and an XP machine I get distortions/blur on
icons and images. When moving the mouse over these , the distortion
clears up. I have another W2K PC which works fine. They were all
connecting to the same VNC server. Any ideas. Thanks.

I think that would have been done by the main user of the machine if he
had wanted it.

I know this topic has been covered before several times but after reading
several posts and trying some of the suggestions I am still unable to connect
to my computer at home from work.
On my modem / router I have forwarded ports 5900 and 5800 to the internal ip
address of my computer but
This isn't going to work with your current setup, but since you mentioned security

Nobody has yet given a response that actually works other than by
encumbering the system with DNS updating it does not need to do.

Hey Phil,
I have read the messages and I am confused as to what you are trying to
do.
Is this a dial-up connection or a dsl connection using pppoe software?

Here is a link on how to set up Setiathome as a service, you could try
using the software the runs your DSL PPPoE dailer and see it if works.

I have successfully used this for setiathome, I have no idea if it would

I am unable to access my VNC server by entering its URL in a VNC client.
I'm wondering if this is supposed to be possible.
Background:
I registered with no-ip.com so my dynamic WAN IP address has a consistent
URL.
I can successfully ping this URL.
I can access my VNC server over the internet
Yes, TCP/IP is there, and working. I can connect to my
network, transfer files between machines, etc.
To make sure TCP/IP is OK, I removed it and
reinstalled it.
Then I uninstalled VNC and reinstalled it as well.
VNC's behaviors remained unchanged.
I ventured into the Registry and found a
