Hi, I am having a serious problem with creating log files
I have edited the registry creating the keys necessary
those keys being:DebugLevel reg_dword 0x0002(2) and
DebugMode REG_DWORD 0x0008(8) in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
and then I rebooted the system but the log files don't appear,
I'm trying to setup vnc on an AIX 4.3 box running CDE.
I installed vnc-3.3.3.2.exe and zlib-1.1.3.2.exe from bull's freeware
archive,
edited /etc/services adding:
vnc10x7 5901/tcp # vnc session
edited /etc/inetd.conf adding:
vnc10x7 stream tcp nowait root
I've installed WinVNC version 3.3.7 both at home and at work. No settings
have been altered.
I can't connect from home because I get the following message - Your
connection has been rejected.
My workplace uses WinVNC version 3.3.9 on its network (Although I have
installed 3.3.7) and the
What sort of network do you run at work? Does it have a firewall? Gateway? What O/S
are you running? Are you sure VNC server is running
on the PC you want to connect to?

You haven't mentioned if both server and client machine are connected in
ethernet or just dial-up connection (through Internet) or what. And also the machines
themselves? Are they fast enough, like at least 500MHz?
Since VNC just reproduced what is drawn, and as Dos cursor is

Hi all
Another issue with the beta version is that the Conection Details dialog,
VNC Server blank does not accept clipboard data. I have a script set up
that tells me the ip of the windows host i am connecting to then launches
vncviewer. I used to be able to select the ip and then paste it into

Hey Phil,
I have read the messages and I am confused as to what you are trying to
do.
Is this a dial-up connection or a dsl connection using pppoe software?
It is, from the point of view of how you make it connect, dialup.
This is what I need to do short and sweat. I'm running mandrake 9.1 in KDE
I wnat vncserver to have the same viewer # for each vncserver session.
How can this be accomplished without a lot of coding?

Hello;
I dug through the discussion archives, and saw lots of discussion on this
one. Never could find an answer, so I apologize if this has been covered.
I am running a RealVNC server on Solaris and accessing it with a viewer on
an XP box.
I want to copy text from a WinXP app (like Outlook)

Any way to enable and disable the local mouse and keyboard option while a vncclient

Are you using static IP for the LAN? Check the manual on how to set up a
web server, then double check that your settings for VNC are comparable.
You may be missing something.

What you have described should work.
Sometimes it helps to do something to convince yourself that tunneling is
working at all -- like telnet.
This is a bit off topic, but remember that ...once you are connected
traffic between the viewer and the server is unencrypted, and could be
snooped by
Nope.
Regarding File Transfer, you might try the FAQ:

Regarding Chat, other programs do this (AOL IM, for example).

I have installed VNC server on Linux (RH 7.2 and RH 7.3), and set it up
to run Xvnc as an xinetd service.
This works great, except when a user logs out, they are still left as
logged-in in the wtmp/utmp file(s). No running tasks remain, but they
are still shown as being logged in. I rebooted
