That is the correct way to close down a VNC viewer. You should try
reinstalling the server software, or using a newer version. If that
fails to work then you probably have a software

Dear Sirs,
I was wondering if it is able to only have a couple keys translated across
the network to the host computer. I would like to be able to use my
computer's keyboard on the local machine and only have two or three
keystrokes that get sent to the other machine. Thanks for your help.

I just found RealVNC and it looks great - but I have a problem.
I need to connect to a computer behind a Gnet NAT router.
I have a public (static) IP address.
How do I set up the router, and what name do I give the reader in order to

I'm running WinVNC from my laptop and I was connecting
to my desktop PCin my house by using the IP address of
my router instead of the IP address of the desktop PC.
The router has port forwarding set up correctly.
When I start up the viewer on the laptop I get the
WinVNC window - all black - and

Without knowing what you've configured in the Linksys router, and not even
knowing what model it's about, it's really hard to have any idea. And the computer in
which you're running the client, is it behind a firewall or router?
