extending vnc with new security types

How would I go about allocating a new security mode protocol ID, without conflicting with anything that RealVNC is using? I plan on adding a simple blowfish cipher to the tightvnc sources. If it works out, I'd be glad to supply a patch to anyone interested. Ed
