Indeed,
UltraVnc now use a layered window for screen blanking.
Black screen or custom bmp (if background.bmp exist on server site,
this image is stretch on the remote display)
The trick is quite simple:
Make a fullscreen layered window and desactivate the layered capturing.

I time a go we ask some help from some un*x developpers..but no response.
Because my knowledge to develop on unix is to little, we recompiled the
Xviewer on win32 (with vc++, no cygwin stuff) and added an xdmcp listener.
An X-terminal (tested with exceed and Xwinpro) sees the vncserver as an

Ultravnc is a new vnc clone. We used parts from all available att clones.
As core we used realvnc, because the developper tree is cleaner and functions
are better ordered.
Our goal is to make the win32server as fast as a unix vncserver. And add
some missing (windoz)
Vnv +sound exist already for a long time, cross platform and open source. The
sound is supported be launching a seperate program, just like ftp..

I'm working remote printing for vnc. Sharing printers works, but not over wan

The printer is using the default vnc port.
Seems to work fine.
A port redirector saves the job to a file.
Vnc is notified that a new job is waiting, send the file and remove him.

xdpyinfo (from a command or xterm tell you the colordepth of your
