Wez,
We use VNC internally on our trusted network. Also, I have
downloaded version 4.1.2, but not had the opportunity to
deploy it yet.
Regarding my server question, I see the following messages

Hi Mike,
This sounds like some sort of networking issue with the host operating
system or network environment. Are you connecting via a VPN
Mike,
Firstly, VNC Free Edition is not designed to be used directly over an
untrusted network. Additionally, VNC Free Edition 4.1.1 had a security
vulnerability, so you should upgrade any machines that are using it to
version 4.1.2 immediately.
As for the lack of response from the server, this

the EXE, not via Add/Remove Programs.
Thanks,

That's what I thought. Installation in a server must always be done
via Add/remove programs.
Seamus,
What is it that you are actually trying to achieve?
Cheers,

Ryan,
The most likely cause is a full Application Event Log, which will cause
VNC Server 4 to exit when it discovers it can't log the current
connection details.
Can you verify that the Application Event Log is set to delete old
entries as required?

Yes, I am still seeing this problem. It recurs for me using RealVNC v3 and
b4, as well as the latest UltraVNC. Runs fine on my other w2k3 boxes, just
Nothing else installed aside from what I mentioned previously - except
Acrobat Reader v6. :)
