Correct me if I'm wrong, preventing the properties dialog at startup is not always possible if you're running windows 98 - both Tight and Ultra (not yet tried Real 4.0b) ignore the fact that the password has already been set (ie. is in the registry) and show the properties dialog anyway - setting

Thanks for the comments people. Issue is sorted now it was infact the current versus default properties problem. I have the service helper loaded and was accessing the properties through that. Silly me assumed it to be editing the default properties when infact it was editing the current user
