Hi everyone, I tried to use vncserver on a Solaris box that didn't have an X window system installed (it's using CDE primarily as of now). We ran into problems trying to get it to work, so I was wondering: is having X windows necessary for VNC to work? If so, are there ways around this

I want to setup VNC so that when I connect no other users can connect , kinda of like how pcanywhere works. I saw the registry entry for ConnectPriority and created that key under HKLM\software\ORL\WinVNC3\Default, that didn't work so then I put it under HKLM\software\ORL\WinVNC3 , that didnt'
