Pity about NTFS being such a problem with Linux seeing as most
external USB drives are formatted that way.
Microsoft doesn't make the spec available. That's why there's no rw

Set up an unused laptop with Voyage MPD 0.8.0 and added the required line to
/etc/fstab to mount a CIFS NAS. Worked fine, using MPoD as a cient.
Then I decided to try a Tanscend StorJet 500Gb USB HDD so I commented out
the NAS mount in /etc/fstab and plugged in the USB drive (also disconnected
