because we had a very open policy for our extensions- and
templates-websites many people created an account on the two sites.
There were a big number of accounts that has never been used so far. We
had about more than 6000 accounts on the templates site and worked in a
team of three admins
Couldnt this be scripted to see lets say last activity of login and then
automatically delete the accounts if older then that given time period?

That way is easy to watch the/those video/s every time some procedure has
been forgotten. So
