When I fetch with wget a whole subtree and when directories contains
space or some other special character, these character are urlencoded in
the local version while it is not the case for files.
For exemple if I mirror with wget -m the directory to to which
contains the file to to, I get

Just noticed that wget 1.7 errors with the subject line if you pass it a
protocol, port and username but not a password.
eg.
wget http:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ - Works
wget http://something:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:465/ - Works
wget ftp://something:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:256/- Works

Please upgrade to Wget 1.8.1. I believe this problem has gone away.
