There is a bot on commons that scans flickr for copyright free images and
uploads them to commons - so those are already there in probability.
What I suggest is making a list of missing images (eg. there is a category of
requested images in Mumbai, Im sure there must be other such categories

I interacted with several people at WCI who have never been part of a GA or FA
process.
There is a certain thrill in being part of such a process. From waiting for a
reviewer to agree to the PR/GA/FA review given the backlog can be months long
at times to the actual peer reviews,
There seems to be a little bit of misunderstanding. I was talking of English
Wikipedia and livability of English references.
I have helped a couple of articles attain GA status. We conducted a PR for FA
status and realised some of the refs need to be changed. At GA level they were
accepted
I agree with Pradeep - there are already too many lists, the last thing we need
is to follow another for WP:India. Why cant we just continue on

Thanks for bringing this up Ashwin (and for the detailed feedback). If the
images are not named properly, people will not be able to recognise them, which
makes the whole exercise useless.
Can I suggest, now that the images have been uploaded such, the uploaders
update the image summary with
Great to see so much enthusiasm. Pradeep mentioned a Mumbai Photowalk earlier
this year (CST to Cooperage) - suggest a different part of Mumbai is picked for
the next one (with so much enthusiasm, I hope to see another soon!).
