There are only two files with x86-specific assembler.
One is just a single stack correction and the second is a series doing byte-swapping
for the packet.
Neither should be hard to alter for IA64 - is there a loopback test that one can
watch/use to test the packet ordering?

Note that in order to make winpcap work on Itanum you'll have at least to
disable the JIT filter compiler inside the driver. I suppose that an Itanum
will not like the x86 code it generates...

They are compile errors. It complains about a lot of
the things that are already defined in the source
code. I suppose that there might be some preprocessor
definition that is missing.
