The antennas I have on water towers are attached by beam clamps. I will use a 1 1/2 piece of EMT pipe, drill a hole through the pipe and connect the beam clamp to it with a bolt long enough to go through the pipe. this way nothing is welded or drilled into the water tower. If for some reason we

Are there firewall rules that can be instated at the core router (we are using Powercode w/ imagestream rebel router) that will detect and block malicious traffic so that it does not bring the network down? What does everyone generally do to prevent this sort of problem.

Right, I'm routing already to my customers. I just can't seem to identify where the flood of traffic is coming from. My guess is that someone is using some sort of p2p and opening gazillions of connections for either upload or download traffic or someone has a virus that is flooding the network

You really need to find out exactly WHAT the problematic traffic is before you worry about how to best block it. Hook up a machine with Wireshark to a tap or a mirrored switch port that is seeing the offending traffic. If you can't immediately identify the problem traffic by looking at the

Like Patrick's idea with a PC and wireshark I would suggest using a Mikrotik box with two NICs acting as a switch - you can capture all the traffic that way (analyze with WireShark of course). I know IS has a solution and I am sure there are others but I am only capable of using Cisco switches
