Hi,
I am observing a bizarre behavior - when running installer with no UI on Win XP
32 bit the dialog is missing the description text.
The initial small dialog with title Windows Installer saying Preparing to
install.. shows up, then followed by the dialog with no text.
The same installer runs
the version of Windows Installer on each of the
targets? May be that would explain the difference.

Creating Restore Point. You can use MSIFASTINSTALL
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd408005(VS.85).aspx) property for
disabling this and some other things, but this will work only for Windows
Installer 5.0 (Windows 7 only, no redist).

Hi ,
I wrote a very small installer - copies about 20 files, starts service, adds
entry to firewall exception list. I originally used WixUI_Minimal then had to
switch to WixUI_InstallDir with one dialog skipped.
Even when I used WixUIMininal the installer seems to be very slow - it takes up
I use 2 project files located in the same directory. Each one of them targets
one platform, builds only one configuration and includes the same source files.

Hi,
When License agreement dialog is displayed the entire text of the license
agreement rtf file is missing and it only appears after I touch the scroll bar
on the right.
I used an example in the WIX tutorial and the only lines I added to my
installer are:
WixVariable Id=WixUIBannerBmp
