The cause of the problem is that WP.org doesn't require unique email
addresses. If you really wanted to be unethical, it takes about 2
seconds to register a name, change it slightly and register another
one. You basically end with a list of users and passwords that you
just need to copy and paste.
O.T.
IMHO, TinyMCE should be removed from the core completely, hooks included for
any RTE plugin to use, and a TinyMCE plugin installed and enabled by
default.
As much has I dislike tinyMCE (I'm cringing now because a client's
project requires plugins for it), an RTE should stay in the
Flash-based uploading is clearly an extra frill that
should be handled in a plug-in. It should not be in
the WP core code.
I disagree because I could make the same argument for the tinyMCE
interface. I never use tinyMCE, but I much prefer the flash uploader
to the old methods.
However, it should
Hi list,
Wordpress.org has released WP 2.5 officially, and kicks off with a new
design. If you haven't already, drop the Release Candidates and go get
the real thing.
One little-bitty side note, could we get a new Codex skin to match the
rest of WP.org?
That footer line is updated by pinging a wordpress.org file and
checking what the current version is. It only does it three times a
day, so it should update itself later today.
(It is also possible the server-side check hasn't been updated yet as
the release was announced only two hours or so
Maybe you both would like to start by updating the codex page for version 2.5?

I ran a few tests back a few weeks ago, and you should be able to do

It would be updated after the page load, but it is the easiest way to
move elements around.

Michael, did you have some ideas for the gallery feature to make it more
useful?
Not Michael, but it would be nice if you could, optionally, have the
image links go straight to the full image and not the attachment page.
It could be as simple as a different bbcode.
Aaron.
I think there should be an option page where the user can change this
settting. Or perhaps better: the rss_language should always be the same as
the blog language.
You're right, it should default to whatever the wp_local is, but for
now, you can change it on the /wp-admin/options.php page.
In 2.5 you can add links under the write menu.

You have to go to the post, click the upload button, go to galleries
or media library, click the item and then click the small delete link.
I'm not sure why it isn't also on the full manage item page. An

Not that I know of. It would be a nice-to-have feature to cross-own

Right now the easiest way is to add standard conditionals into the
widget file itself inside the function where it outputs the content. I
do this with a recent articles widget so it doesn't display on the
homepage.

adding margin-bottom:-80px; to the inline styling on the span. The
latter method is rather hackish though.
