I've noticed that when making a link when writing a page or post the
http://; is not highlighted so I have to select it and remove it before I
paste in a link. It would save a lot more time if it was highlighted by
default. If I remember properly, prior to 2.5 the http://; was highlighted.

on field changed, and field contains http://(.*?):// then trim first
http:// off?
It would be a useful trick for those who know it, but others would just
delete the http:// manually first regardless.

If someone submits a link that starts with www. and has
