I had the same trouble on a few of my blogs. Updating the automatic update plugin to the version 1.0 worked on all but one of my blogs and no matter what I did on that one, it wouldn't work. Ended up manually updating all of them there. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it too

The WordPress Automatic Upgrader plugin is the (only one i've seen so far) culprit for that error. @Arman: Try upgrading the WPAU plugin and see if that fixes it like Annie's suggestd, If you dont have the WordPRess Automatic upgrade plugin installed, Then the following comment for Annie

If a plugin used to have a folder /images/ and its now called /img/ it'll remove the images folder and use the /img/ folder. It simply uses whatever the latest zip file gives it. I agree that it can break the site when someone views a page half way through uploading, Thats why the file/folder
