[wp-testers] Adding New User Wants To Change Pword for Admin

2008-03-30 Thread Dawnne Gee
In my boring little test-bed at http://rbmr.com, I have one Admin account, and that's it. As I went to add a new user (admin role), upon submitting the New User form on the Manage Users page, I was prompted to verify that I wanted to change the password for my singular OTHER account. Upon

Matt's right: in many ways, this is not the forum for discussion of whether or not we like the Write page, and I apologize to the group for fomenting part of that largely off-topic discussion. I hope, however, that the discussion is taken to heart as representative of this particular user-group's

Here I disagree. I think WordPress is popular because it's 1) easy to install 2) easy to extend 3) easy to find great new looks for It's never been about the admin screens, and so much of the adaptability is not due to WP itself but rather highly-motivated coders willing to create

Great minds think alike, Annie. Okay, my limited mind thinks a bit like yours, anyway. Could not replicate this on: 2.5rc3 (via link provided earlier today on this list) at http://rbmr.com/2008/03/28/test-post/ (bluehost) Windoze XPsp2 using FF2 Attempted in both visual and html modes. I

The QA guy in me just shudders when I see beta-testing a system with a beta browser, but I'll shut up. Annie didn't say what browser she's using (ahem! heh) but could be an FF3 beta prob? -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:wp-testers- [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of

RE: [wp-testers] AW: Write Page

2008-03-27 Thread Dawnne Gee
In that regard, I have to agree. If I have to scroll at 1680x1050, there's something wrong, and on the Write page, I have to scroll, especially if a notice is present below the tabs. I know part of the assumption is coding UI for 800x600, but I have literally over 1/3 of my screen blank with the

Erg. That response doesn't address what many of us are perceiving to be the problem. Does it take that much time to scroll? Of course not! (For those who have a device that scrolls). The assertion can be summed up, Along with your WordPress 2.5 Upgrade, we strongly recommend the immediate purchase

There's a couple of things I'd like to see in the Write pages, and I hope it's not improper to point them out to this group. 1. The ability to define my own target name for a link without having to switch to code view and do it completely manually. I do realize and appreciate that with
