I just received Inferno by Ivan Arguelles,
Beatitude Press. I've seen some of it in manuscipt and look forward to delving.
Arguelles' work is fascinating, intense and expansive. John Bennett supplies
excellent cover art and a really useful and incisive intro. just thought I'd
mench.

Interesting in relation to active/passive since yes somehow reading is
degraded, one may be a writer and this carries a certain weight, but to
call oneself a 'reader' is almost an excuse; while one says there is a
certain weight to 'being a good listener,' so much more emphasis is placed

Hello from sunny San Diego. We've made the hop from Japan to the U.S. to
enjoy our first Christmas at home in three years. As usual, the
24-hours-door-to-door ordeal is a hard one, but except for some December
turbulence on the way over, everything went pretty smoothly. Incredibly,

Also like to think of it in this inverse sense, reading is in the middle,
writing is the output, also literary, well, the activity's reaching-out,
expansion, capitalism, colonialism, preaching-out maybe.. btw, the

The image came to resemble a broken timepiece, a watch case that had
been run over by a truck or an automobile. I first thought of calling
it Broken Time, but then I realized that architecturally it was a
ruined structure, a building that perhaps housed time, a building that
was under siege,
