A common problem I see is that when I copy and paste from the Linux side (Fedora 28-29) and then paste into Windows 10, I get chinese characters. Which makes me think it's a UTF8 mismatch somewhere. Ulrich> You could try using the built-in Xserver of Mobaxterm and Ulrich> check if the problems persist.
