hI; please check if you have running a clipboard manager on the xubuntu desktop. If so, disable it and retry.
Regarding the session selection: you can create shortcuts that run the x2goxclient with one specific session via the command line option --session. You can disable changes to the session configuration with --no-session-edit. Just run x2goxclient --help to see an overview of the command line options. Uli BTW: What is flagship 8?
