to me (Hidden means it is hidden in the menu)
and would still be compatible with the current menu implementations
since they don't
show Hidden items anyway.

by gnome-mag it ask to it become only a WM and gnome-mag start to be the
CM.
Why couldn't the CWM just implement the gnome-mag API? I know there
are plans for beryl to do just that.

One question though, do things break if you have two menus with the
same Name? If so, they shouldn't.

install them in hicolor. The only real problem
I can see if deciding which icon to choose: menu-editor from the
current theme (matches the theme better) or menu-editor-foo from
hicolor (application's own icon).

I'd just like to point out that whatever is decided, it has to be
something a menu editor can implement, so it has to be something a
user can (somewhat) understand.
