the xelatex engine to process. If I use pdflatex, it works fine.
The other work-around for the problem pdf file(s) is to re-generate them
via pdftk:

quiet things down.
That will save you a lot of work on alternatives for unpleasant line

I've not done anything like this myself, but you could complete both
docs separately, then join them using the pdfpages package (within the
world of TeX) or pdftk, pdflab, etc. for other resources.

Although I like Emacs, it doesn't do scripting with Arabic or Syriac
AFAIK. But TeXShop does! And TeXShop supports a variety of complex
regexp searches, etc.

, *anyone* can just comment out lines 21-23 of bidi.sty (of the
version I have which is v1.0.3) so as to avoid the creator issue
showing up in the pdf --- OR copy bidi.sty to a home based texmf folder
and then comment them out. It's not a big deal.
