Hi,
I updated to XFree 4.3 and have some trouble with the fonts:
problem: fc-cache hangs in the cyrillic font-dir
solution: I removed the cyrillic fonts (don't need them)
problem: the text in certain widget sets does not show up, instead the
buttons become _very_ wide (about 10 screens)

If you use, Xft + anti-aliasing without RENDER, it's no great
surprise that the performance is rather poor, especially on
a remote X server.
But the following observations occurred to me:
- Almost all rendering with Xft is actually on a solid

hi, I am a beginner of XFree86.
I want to add XFree86 to my embeded system in a 32M DOM. But I don't know
the relation between some files: X-Xwrapper, XFree86, XFCom_i810, i810.o,
i810_drv.o, i810-tco.o. I also don't know how kernel supports i810 card.

Hi,
I am trying to install XFree86 and I got some errors while running the configuration. The .log file is attached and I'd appreciatte a lot if you can help me.
During the installation I YES to all prompts asking if I would like to overwrite the old installation.
Thanks a lot,

This is interesting. I did know that there even is a native fbdev
driver for the neomagic. However the driver says that it's based on
the XFree86 code. So I don't expect it to do some magic we don't do.
The speedup may have another reason: the mtrr setup may not work
correctly.
Your suggestion to change the modes entry in the XF86Config, I had already
tried before posting this. Adding this option crashes my X server. I will

it's monitor dependent but most monitors I've dealt with are on the order

VertRefresh 55.0 - 85.0 Hz
