My XFree86 seems to start OK, but when the screen mode is set, it
doesn't do anything more (i.e. using nvidia drivers I get the nvidia logo
and nothing more occurs). The XFree86.0.log seems to be right.
Anyone knows wath happen after the Xfree86 initialization?

Yes but I tried to install XFree86 3.3.6 and the problem was resolved but with the
3.3.6 was a luck of libraries and some programs asked me libraries that I had
got the Debian GNU/Linux for Sparc (the iso images) and burned the
cd's. The packages are installed without troubles, however, nowadays I
only can work on the console mode.
The X that is on those cd's is 3.3.6
