I'm running a cvs XFree86, to support my video card.
XFree86 Version 4.3.99.15
Release Date: 1 November 2003
Today's cvs won't build, haven't looked into why...
Any help appreciated!

also you should be able to specify runlevel 3 (no x) at the bootup, if I
recall grub: edit the boot options (e), select the line that specifies a
kernel, edit (e), add a 3 at the end, end edit (esc), then boot (b).

How do I disable tcp/6000 connections?
No-one else seems to have mentioned this, so I'll address it; pass the
server the options -nolisten tcp on the command line.
thanks. hummm

think another config is being used.
this will happen if you have a /root/XF86Config-4 but you are expecting
some XF86Config-4 in /etc/ to be parsed.

I got the cvs source this morning and it built without errors on my fast

followup, it doesn't look like I'll need ddc, this will run on a plasma
screen with low scan rate. how do I disable it?
also, there is a pretty good chance I disabled i2c in the kernel, that
would cause the problem? no?
