FWIW, if this patch doesn't apply cleanly, then your report is based on
out-dated information.
It applyed cleanly, but doesn't work! I made a guess that's the new gcc-3.4,
so I recompiled all (make distcleann make World) with gcc-3.3 but the
whole systems still
I've a radeon mobility 7500 which worked with latest xfree-cvs til
yesterday. Seems like the latest changes in the radeon-driver are causing a
hard lockup of the whole system when trying to switch from X back to
console.
Can you please fix this!

I've compilied the newest CVS-version of XFree86. But when I start X kdeinit
gets Signal 11 and then X stops loading. I also tried the kernelmodules
which are in the CVS, but I also Signal 11.
I know from other which also habe debian sid and with a similar hardware
that they doesn't have such
