[XFree86] How to reduce the over head of one bit appending in 24 bit RGB image display?

Hi, I am new to Linux and Xfree86. I want to display a real time video capture detials in Linux with XFree86 on Intel platform. 24 Bit RGB detials of the image will be coming to me. Can any one help me on How to fire a pixel on the screen with the RGB detials of the pixel. Thanks
