Can any one on the list give me modelines for bw SVGA monitor? The make
is MicroTek (I think this is only their Indian name)
I want to use few of these monitors under XF86_SVGA server in 800x600 or
640x480 resolution.

RedHat 7.2 came with a program called xconfigurator.
Running that may solve your problem. If not let us know.

Most likely solution would be to replace the driver of your card. Try
replacing is with vesa

Not best of the answer as I am equally dark (opposed to bright) about
this all. give command
startx -e yourmanager
Till some one tells you better.

Do you keep log of output when it is working okay? Compare the logs to
spot trouble.
