I am trying to get Red Hat 9 Linux to work on my Compaq LTE5300 laptop. If I understood it correctly, I believe the version of XFree86 is 4.3.0-2 comes with RH 9. It is equipped with a full complement of memory, 10G HDD and the Cirrus Viking CL-GD 7543 chipset. When Linux boots and tries to
