Lets look at XAAFillPolygonStippled():

HARDWARE_PATTERN_PROGRAMMED_BITS is set,

I just used up2date to get the latest kernel (2.4.18-27.8.0) for
RedHat 8.0, and my XServer won't start. It was working well previously
under the previous kernel (2.4.18-24.8.0).
I used rpmbuild --rebuild to install:
NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-4191.src.rpm
NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-4191.src.rpm

The nv driver does not support dual-head operation so you're not
expected to be able to get it to work. As for the NVIDIA driver,
don't use version 4191, it's a lemon. Stick with 3123 and the
TwinView mode.
