Its seems that client/server applications are being used more and more now
adays. XFree86 is excellent for a client/server setup on a local network
but it seems that X11 can easily saturate the bandwidth with many clients.
(Which can then start slowing down the entire network as more and more
to get ridd of xkbdcomp and libraries that it
is linked to.
Thanks

Hello,
Are there any known problems with the Trident Blade3D chipset?
I have a workstation running FreeBSD 4.7-STABLE and XFree86 4.2.0.
The graphic card is an AGP Trident Blade3D based card. The system
sporadically freezes when I try to work under XFree86 making it
almost impossible to run
What XFree *really* needs is much more data compression when sending data to
a remote display. It seems XFree is being used more and more for diskless
clients and to display remote screens. The X protocol uses alot of Bandwidth
when dealing with *alot* of clients.
