Hi,
I have to activate X (Xfbdev / kdrive / tinyX) on a 4bpp grayscale
framebuffer device, based on an Epson s1d13705 display-controller. In the
meantime I have managed to run X (Version 4.2.1) on the 320x240 display,
but it looks like the nibbles (4bit blocks in a byte) are written in a
different order to the controller than they are written to the display and
so every two columns are swapped.

Can anybody give me a hint, if there is already a switch/define to change
the bit-order in a byte for the kdrive Xfbdev XServer or tell me, where to
start to look at in the XFree86 sources if I have to do the necessary
changes by myself.

Thanks for any hints,

Martin
