Hi there, I'm trying to install XFree86 4.X on Freebsd 4.7. My graphics card is Intel(R)Extreme Graphics Controller 6.13.01.3162. The chip type is Intel(R) 82845G/GL chip.
Running XFree86 -configure produces a message saying Xfree has found a valid card but data has not been added to xf86PciInfo.h. It also asks me to run scanpci -v which produces card vendor card unknown. I have not reconfigured the kernel with the line device agp but I have added agp_load="YES" to /boot/loader.conf. I've also created the AGP device node and added Option "NoDDC" in th eXFree86 config file. I suspect it is the driver for the video card that is not allowing the gui to start when I run 'startx'.
