Hi All!
I am glad to report that in Gentoo's portage tree there are a working
ebuild for XMail 1-16.
This ebuild is now masked as testing, so you should run it by accepting
testing ebuilds or by pointing emerge procedure directly to this file
(/usr/portage/net-mail/xmail/xmail-1.16.ebuild).
Hi All!
I think there is a way to start XMail chrooted without use of
distribution-dependent tools (compartment, start-stop-daemon...)
After creating xmail group and xmail user, preparing chrooted jail, I've
added in each *Svr.cpp into ...ThreadProc before for (;;) a line:
BTW,
for courier-imap (v. 1.7.0) with mysql auth I have a patch for fetch.c
for CRLF support. Having this patch I can use XMail Maildirs to point
courier there, without any perl oneliners to strip CR. Here it is:

--- imap/fetch.c.orig 2002-09-28 20:31:25.0 -0400
+++ imap/fetch.c

I may post files for this ebuild here, about 9 kb plain text or less
than 4 kb in tar-bzip2ed form.
ecartis is going to strip attachments.

Go ahead and write an html page. I'll store it inside the XMail's home
page.
Done, and now I've get permission to place it temporarily at
http://www.spectr.org/sergey.
Since there are other files, isn't it easier if you

Hi All,
I have question about debian's start-stop script.
If debian's start-stop daemon just kills XMail, which is very quick
operation, why default /etc/init.d/xmail script writes `date` into
$XMAIL_ROOT/.shutdown and waits a lot of time while this file dissapears?
Is killing
Hi All,
How can I tell to XMail from
to use courier imap server I wrote line
===
external[tab]0[tab]1[tab]/var/MailRoot/for_imap.sh[tab]@@FILE\
[tab]my username@@FROM
===
into mailproc.tab, while for_imap.sh contains lines to convert endlines
as it proposed by Aaron Johnson at
. One - me at home
and other at work. Is there others IMAP features which may be done with
filters and other mail processing features of XMail?

Sorry,
It is the problem not in the XMail server, but in my filter which transfer
messages to UW-IMAP. I have disabled this filter and got this messages in full.
Thank you,

So I think to avoid process duplication it is worth while passing all
mail to one server.
